Jimmy Carter reached 100
Amongst all the noise created by the US Presidential election one former president broke a new record. Jimmy Carter turned 100 on October 1st 2024 and became the longest surviving ex-President of the USA.
Carter has kept himself busy in his later years, publishing a book in 2018. His wife Rosalyn died at the age of 96 in 2023. The couple were married for 77 years, another record for former first couples. Sadly he passed away himself in December 2024.
