Research published by the University of California suggests that cutting down sugar intake by two spoons per day can make your body younger by a couple of months.
The research study covered 342 women and measured their biological age by taking saliva samples. The women’s diets were scored compared to a typical Mediterranean diet and then to a diet linked to a lower risk of chronic disease.
The researchers also looked at sugar intake and found that eating foods with more sugar was associated with ageing, even for those with an otherwise healthy diet. The full study can be found here:-
